On a dusty back street in January 1969,
a very unique building caught my eye.
I spent 9 months developing it, and several adjacent storefronts.
It was here at "Genesis" that I began drawing in black ink
and where I created my "psychedelic" style,
which I later refined in New York City
in 1971.
